Phil replied: always disable windows backups, swap, hibernation and paging
file due to having so much RAM in the system anyway even if running
mechanical drives but will also disable disk defrag.  This brings up an
interesting question.  If I needed to delete files from an SSD would it be
better to cut the files to another drive then delete them from there?

Phil replied: yes indeed but decided to go with the Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
2.inch SSD

 Phil replied: don't think it has a m.2 or MSata.  I suppose I could have
purchased a thunderbolt drive caddy however, got a lot of those Western
Digital 3.5 inch black drives here which I put in USB3 boxes so don't think
there is likely to be much of a bottleneck there :-)
