Are you talking about those thick pieces of carpet that go on the walls? Bob.----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Smart" <chris_s@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi folks.Since I'm doing the same thing, trying to control reflections and get rid of room nodes in my mixing/mastering space, here's my question.Have people here improvised/built their own diffusers, absorbers and bass traps? Or did you go with some of the commercial products like those from Auralex?I'd love to save some money going the DIY approach, but then again, companies like Auralex have lots of actual science behind their products. That would save me a lot of trial and error. One thing I'm considering is putting a large area rug on a wall to cut down on reflections. Is that a good idea, or should I go with the acoustic foam products and just spend the money?Chris PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
