Can anyone shed some light on the differences in either sound or usability (including accessibility and general ease of use) between superior drummer 2 and eZ Drummer 2?

I'm definately a hobbiest when it comes to music making, so would like something that sounds good and offers e decent number of style choices, but not sure I need the full tweakability of superior drummer. However, if it just sounds miles better than EZDrummer, or is more accessible, or easier to use in some other way, then it is probably worth the more expensive price tag!

Thanx very much for any input...

omg I seriously thought that version 3 was accessible. There seems to have been some kind of confusion then.
Thanks for clearing this out Phil.
In that case Fran, I’d try and see if you can’t get a copy of version 2, and or wait unfortunatly.
Cheers.

Unfortunatly Superior Drummer 3 is currently inaccessible. That is because they are now using the Juce platform to author the software and Juce currently dos not have an accessibility API. Glad that I still have Superior Drummer 2 here as that is a lot more accessible due to the fact that it uses standard menus in Windows and on the Mac. Toontrack are aware of the inaccessibility of the software and would like to fix it if possible however this will be hard to do as long as there is not an accessibility API for developers to utalise. Rest assured there are folks such as myself and Slau working with toontrack in order to get this addressed as soon as possible.

Hello all,

After seeing so much good press here on the list, I'm getting ready to

purchase Superior Drummer 3 and the core library SSD hard drive. I wanted to

ask if this is accessible out of the box.  Or, do I also need scripts to

make the software work with my DAW, which is Windows 7 and JAWS 16 running

Sonar 8.5.  What is the minimum I need to make this work?
