SD2 is accessible via some HSC sets made by Phil Muir. As yet, SD3 is
not, nor are there any plans of which I am aware to make it,
accessible. The whole interface is different, and very little,if
anything, is exposed either via the Windows UIA or VST programmed
parameters.
Re sound or sounds, it's the old SD2 kit with some added drums, some
very fancy drum mapping, and a whole barrel of 11.1 surround-recorded
drum samples that add an additional hundred-plus gig to the overall
product. Of course, this 11.1 surround pack is optional, so if you
don't have the hardware on which to play it back, it's not worth
downloading.

usability (including accessibility and general ease of use) between
superior drummer 2 and eZ Drummer 2?
I'm definately a hobbiest when it comes to music making, so would like
something that sounds good and offers e decent number of style choices,
but not sure I need the full tweakability of superior drummer. However,
if it just sounds miles better than EZDrummer, or is more accessible, or
easier to use in some other way, then it is probably worth the more
expensive price tag!
