BTW: Sound fonts are now a very old sampler format (at least 15 years old). The only real reason to use them is because there are a lot of old instruments floating around the net in SF format. However, actually using them in SF format isn't necessarily a good idea. I'm not entirely surprised that Cakewalk isn't trying to hard to support sound font playback going forward. I think that they should, but that's probably not too far from asking them about why they haven't updated that direct support for the Sound Blaster cards that was in Sonar a few years back. Practically no one uses that stuff anymore.
