What the man said. Record vocal tracks in mono. The other thought I have
is this. Open up Sonar and locate that vocal track. Then go into the event
view and locate the start of that wave file. Close out the event view and
press Control S to save. Then either go into the tools menu and if you have
Sound Forge, open up the file and go into the process menu and use the
channel converter to convert that file to mono. Choose the 50% no fades
preset or similar to do that and before you close out Sound Forge, make sure
that the file doesn't have any clipping in it. Then, exit Sound Forge and
Sonar wil ask you if you want to reload the file. Choose yes and you will
then have a mono wav file in Sonar. Alternatively If you have Sound forge
but you can't see it in the Tools menu with Sonar open, copy out that stereo
wav file then go into the process menu and choose the preset as mentioned
above and once done check that there is no clipping in the file. Then,
delete the wav data on the track in Sonar and import the new wav file on to
the track.
