Chris,

I have the same problem with some of the Universal Audio powered plugins, and here's what I do to get to the presets.

1. Open up the plugin dialog.

2. Tab over to the "VST Plugin Menu" button.

3. Press enter, and choose "Load Preset."

4. In the "Open File" dialog navigate to the folder that contains your Waves plugins, and hopefully in that folder, their will be a folder called "Presets." If so, all the presets for your Waves plugins should be in there.

Have no idea if this is the same for the new Waves plugins, but for a few of the UA ones, especially the 1176, and LA2A, this is the only way I can get to all their presets.

Also, after you've loaded a few presets, when you are in the plugin dialog, you can use the applications key to bring up a list of a few of the most recent ones you've used/saved. I discovered this by accident, but use it all the time when wanting to quickly get to my favorite presets on those two plugins.

Steve

Subject: [ddots-l] Waves Presets Not Showing UP in Sonar

Hi folks,

Just a quick question about Waves plug-ins.

I'll admit it, When I used a cracked version of Waves Mercury version 5 in the past, all the plug-in presets showed up in Sonar, no problem! But, now that I've bought Waves Silver, the CLA-Classic Compressors, and the Vocal Rider plug-ins, no presets show up in any of them!

I don't have too much of a problem with this - I don't mind reading documentation and tweaking parameters to suit the situation at hand, but sometimes, I like exploring presets for inspiration, since there's often something wacky in there I haven't thought of.

Does anybody know how to get Sonar to recognize presets with a given plug-in?

I'm using CakeTalking, if that makes any difference.

thanks for any suggestions,

Chris
