Chris,

I agree, it would be interesting to compare them. I must say, I do like the UA stuff though, but I have no experience with the Waves version of the classic compressors etc.

I did demo the Massive Passive, but right now, I only have a solo, and don't think I have enough DSP power to have run it well, unfortunatly, it did a number on JAWS, and maxed out my DSP card, so never got a good idea of what it could do.

I do really dig their Empirical Labs Fatso plugin, it adds some of the old 2 inch tape warnth to the bright digital world. The Fatso along with their LA2A, 1176, and Poltek are in my oppinion required "must have" plugins for recording/mixing... but I'm a little biased, I just love those old classics .

So, are you a fan of the UA platform?
I have the Waves versions of the LA2A LA3A and 1176; it would be interesting to compare them.

I've read amazing things about the UA plate reverb and their model of the Manley Massive Passive EQ.
