MPC1000 works fine for a blind guy. There is practically no screen, and direct
key presses for most tasks.

The cheaper MPC500 doesn't use the same drum pads as the others's and is
generally built like crap, so don't bother.

The higher end MPC units have really large interfaces on big screens, and will
be much harder to memorize. DOn't know any blind guys using them.

Just get a 1000, if you want one. It has all of the basic features. You can
sync it to Sonar and dump audio, if you like.

What I meant is: has anyone used the mpc to load sounds and play them through
it. I'm curious to hear some feedback on user friendliness, as well as how they
liked the sound engine.

What do you mean ran through it? It is a sampler. You can play any of
that stuff and record/trigger a sample of it, but you can't really play it like
a keyboard.

        Hi,

Has anyone on here used any of the akai mpc series? If so, have you ran
instruments through it like orchestral, woodwind, guitars, etc?
