I use the fireface 800, and if I remember correctly, you should be
able to go to the latest driver without having to go through all the
other drivers. RME has a decent tech support guy here in ohio. So you
might want to give him a call with any questions as well.

Hi everyone,
I was off list for a few but I am glad to have rejoined and
hopefully participate.
I have been up grading my sonar and caketalking up to 8.5 and seem
to have gotten through that task.
However, I have noticed that the drivers for my sound card
(fireface 400) has been shutting off after the computer is on for
a time and just generally seems unstable.Prior to that I had to
change some setting with the fan and cooling of the computer.I am
thinking to update the drivers for my fireface 400 to the latest
one.I have installed 2.86 (date March 2008) but the most recent
update is 2.99 (April 2011).
Just wondering if there are folks on list who use a fireface and
have the latest drivers and know whether I can do an update from
2.86 straight to 2.99.
