I use the fireface 800, and if I remember correctly, you should be able to go
to the latest driver without having to go through all the other drivers. RME
has a decent tech support guy here in ohio. So you might want to give him a
call with any questions as well.

    Hi everyone,

I was off list for a few but I am glad to have rejoined and hopefully
participate.

I have been up grading my sonar and caketalking up to 8.5 and seem to have
gotten through that task.

However, I have noticed that the drivers for my sound card (fireface 400)
has been shutting off after the computer is on for a time and just generally
seems unstable. Prior to that I had to change some setting with the fan and
cooling of the computer. I am thinking to update the drivers for my fireface
400 to the latest one. I have installed 2.86 (date March 2008) but the most
recent update is 2.99 (April 2011).

Just wondering if there are folks on list who use a fireface and have the
latest drivers and know whether I can do an update from 2.86 straight to 2.99.
