If you use the cut dialog, and check all the options including tempo and
track/bus automation etc., and check the "delete hole" option, you should be
able to do that.

Hello,
I inserted some empty measures on some tracks in a sonar project. How do I
delete those? I tried selecting the area and hitting control delete, but that
dialogue won't open unless there is recorded material within the selected areas.
