Hi Mark,

I successfully used the accompaniment feature as you described to record an MP3 with Sonar:

Now a few questions:
1) How can I dial down the volume on the accompaniment band so the piano part shines a little brighter?

2) If I follow your instructions exactly, I think I end up with a MIDI file, which sounds lousy unless played on another Tyros 4. Is there a way to save to an MP3 so the Tyros's great voices are preserved?

3) When using the mixer on the Tyros, after you've recorded a channel, is there an easy way to abort, such as ^Z in Sonar?

Thanks for your help -- this is the coolest song I've put together so far! And more tracks tomorrow!

Ben

Hello Ben, I'm glad the demo on the psrs910 Tyros4 was a help to you.
My equipment such as the Tyros4 is conected to a mixer board that is connected to my computer.
I use the Tyros4 and Sonar 8.5 to do this demo.
If there is any thing else I could help you with, just let me know.
Thanks for the kind words for the demo.
I believe in helping folks in operating there equipment.
You take care.

Mark,

This demo was fantastic. I've been struggling with how to easily record multi-track with my new Tyros for a month now. in 5 minutes, you made it crystal crlear.

If you ever want to do more Tyros / PSR 910 tutorials, I'm all ears!

Great work!

By the way, what recording device did you use to make this demo?

Thanks!

Ben

Hello group, a few weeks ago, someone was asking questions about the Yamaha psrs910 arranger keyboard.
I am helping a blind friend in Florda with her psrs910 she just perchased.
I recorded a demo for her to get her started in creating a midi file on her machine. If anyone of you are interested in the psrs910 or the Tyros, you are welcome to listen to the demo I created.
Here is the link below for the demo file.
