In a previous message, you said that there was still some confusion. Let me
see if I can lay out the steps more clearly.
I'm assuming that you have several instruments in one instance of a soft
synth, say, 16 channels, all different. These soft synths are all routed to
one output, say Stereo 1&2. Is this the case? Do you want to create
individual audio tracks that you can then mix? If this is the situation,
here's what to do. Fort he purpose of this example, I'm assuming that all
your MIDI tracks are lined up vertically one after the other and that the
audio output is at the bottom. If this is the case, do this:
1. Select track 1 and the audio out track at the bottom of the project.
2. Solo them both.
3. Use the file export command and choose .wav. Name the file after the
song title and instrument involved.
4. Make sure that you know where your exported .wav files are being stored.
It won't be obvious so please look before exporting.
5. Make sure that you have the right bit depth and sample rate and that
you've chosen whether you want raw tracks or tracks with effects. Please
read up on this and don't ask here.
6. Export the first tarck
7. Repeat steps 106 which each of the tracks, one for each instrument.
8. Open a new blank project without any tracks in it and import all the
.wav filesyou created in one step by selecting them all in the file import
audio dialog.
9. When all the files are imported try playing them back. Make sure that
the tracks are all routed to your master bus in the output column of the
track view. Also make sure you have a master bus in your project.
That should do it.
