Ah, for some reason, I am having drop outs a lot. And wonder what's going on
hear. It wasn't doing that before.

It's a way of reducing the load on your CPU. When you freeze an audio
track, any effects inserted on that track are applied distructively to the
track and then disconnected. When you freeze a softsynth track, the track
is converted into an audio file and the synth is disconnected.

This is very useful in projects where you need to use many effects or
softsynths. Doing this frees up some memory and computing power that allow
you to work on additional tracks without drop outs or issues of latency.

Hi.

Try adding a new audio track and copy the newly recorded audio to that new
blank audio track.

Save the project and then unfreeze the original audio track.

This should in theory retain the new audio and restored the frozen track.

Cheers

Darren

Hi,

I made a blooper. I froze my background vocals tracks then saved the
project. Today I armed the tracks recorded some new material into the
tracks before unfreezing them. I saved everything. It shows up no problem
as long as I don't unfreeze the tracks. If I unfreeze it reverts back to
what I did before I made changes today. What should I do?
