I have never used a noise gate before. Could you possibly explain some of the
settings that I'm gonna need to know about to do this?

I don't remember the list of presets off the top of my head; you might have
to create your own, as I did. You're going to have to experiment with some
until you either find one that works for you, or simply create your own from a
preset that's close to what you want.
