Clear DayYes i did indeed though you never know so well worth asking that
question. As far as i can tell, everything was all set for recording including
the track being armed. thanks though. Dave

Did you arm the track before trying to record?

Hi, Yes, i did go into that mode and clicked ok so it should have been
selected. I have some projects that will record over a track correctly where a
couple won't for some reason, even when in that mode. Thanks for suggestion
though. hoping someone will have experienced same thing at some point and may
have a suggestion. thanks

Did you go into overwrite replace mode? If using CT, press shift r and
it will be the first option in the list.

        Hi Friends,
I recently opened up a project and after recording on track one, I
decided to record over it. I put the system in the correct mode for rerecording
a track but still appears to be doing sound on sound as still hear the previous
track. Is there something else that I could have missed. Have recorded over a
track before with no problem when doing exact thing but obviously something
must be different. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Dave
