MessageThank you I will check that out.

Raymond, you are quite right. I thought it would be an interesting adition to
be able to make music without my midi keyboard, when I'm away from home. If I
had my laptop with me then I could program in the midi using the computer
keyboard.

Cakewal 9.x used to ship with something called "virtual keyboard" which does
exactly what you want. I do not know ifity is available ith Sonar.

However, James Bowden's Quick Windows Sequencer has a similar virtual
keyboard. The program is free, and is available at:

Imagine the scene. I am stranded in a house without a midi keyboard. Yes, I
know, frightening isn't it? I have lots of softsynths and so I want to know
whether I can use my keyboard on my laptop to make music. Does anyone do this
and how o how do they do it?

  Thank you
