Same here, I only wil use it for recording vocals and yes it does have
the xlr mike input. I don't currently have a condenser mic. As for
recording internally, I was at first confused by what you meant by
that. I thought you were simply talking about using vst's, but you
mentioned recordding internet radio. I have only recorded something
from the internet once and it was a tutorial that I wasn't able to
download, and know it wasn't something that was for sale. The problem
with this is that I believe you can only use the asio for one program
at a time, so when I recorded that I did that through audacity. I had
an ogz cable running from the sound card to the line in on my lap top.
IN doing that you will get a tiny hum in the background that you will
notice in silences. I will have to check if I can have sonar running
and audio running from the internet at the same time. I'll check
later, but it's not something I do so don't know. As bryan mentioned
though if you do need some thing where you will have to record
various line ins then by all means if you can afford it, get something
better.
To answer your question, you can record a vocal to a track and
over dub if you want on a separate track or however you will go about
doing that. Good luck with deciding what you will get. the tricapture
was a low budget item that was right for me and all I need at the
moment.
