Hi Omar-
First, please forgive my ignorance especially on the technical side of things. I'll do my best to explain.

Well...I'd like to have the flexibility to lay down a few tracks say 1 drum track with kick drum and snare. 1 with high hats and ride cymbals. 1 with a bass line another with a synth line maybe another with a sampled audio sound for example. Ideally one track or point in the track would trigger the other and have each fit so that each part fit musically together to creat a pattern or even a melody. I'm probably a little off with the terminology here but without getting into the symantics of what I'm trying to say, I'm hoping you can catch what it is I'm trying to play.

I guess in a way it would be creating a loopp. Although I'm hoping to have the parts of the pattern/ song automatically sequenced instead of what I'm doing now which is cutting and pasting all over the place to have the sounds fit where I want and imagine them to fall into place and then be effected etc.

I'm using an M-Audio Axiom midi keyboard controller as well as a little Boss Dr 202 midi groove station.

I haven't used acid loops yet but have been cuttin up my own loops with Sonar, as well as a little boss Sp 202 samler and some old school tape looping and of course cutting and scratching loops in real time with my turntables.s.

Just trying to make the pieces of this puzzle fit and having a good time with it.

Stacy

Can you be a little more specific on exactly what you're looking for? Also, are you using any external synths for sounds?

Hi all-Does anyone have some simple tips on sequencing with Sonar? I have used a hardware sequencer in the past and was hoping sonar would be a littel more intuitive this way.

I just listened to Adrian aka Driza's motif tutorial and that is the type of sequencing I would like to be able to do. Thanks for the inspiration Driza and thanks in advance for any Sonar sequencing pointers.

Oh yeah, I'm using an M-Audio Axiom midi keyboard controller.

Stacy
