Do you notice any difference in the type of sound it produces?

I have both. I stick with my software it is easier to use. I like to know
the numbers and where they are. I also love the presets you will not have that
with out a real high end piece. I do not even know if they would have that
feature on the thing. I would stay with Sonar and what it has to offer.

    Hello,

I'm considering purchasing an external stereo compressor/preamp. What are
some of your thoughts/experiences regarding software plugins/compressors vs
external hardware ones? Will the external ones produce better quality
compression, (make things sound warmer,) than plugins will?

    Thanks.
