Hi Dave,In most cases I'd agree whole heartily with you. I checked out the article myself, and while it was informative in so far as getting started in configuring an external encoder, it unfortunately didn't address the quirk I'm having with this business of getting a double extension on my converted files. They work fine when I play them, even if I don't rename them. I have to go in and rename them manually - which I don't mind doing; but I shouldn't have to do that.
