Firstly, you are incorrect in saying that a print reference page break has to be followed by a line break code. A space character following the reference page number terminates the code. Also, by adding a line code following a reference page number, can introduce unwanted blank lines into the document which you neither wanted nor desired. Secondly, move the cursor to the character position where you want to insert the reference page break, press <CTRL+LEFT SQUARE BRACKET>, DBT opens a dialog box that says "enter code and parameters". Type "lea" (without the quotes) and press <ENTER> to close the dialog, then type the digits or characters for the particular page number, then press the <SPACEBAR> to terminate the code and, to let DBT know that the word following the reference page code and number are separate entities and must be treated as such. Thirdly, if a print reference page number occurs in the middle of a line of text, it is not necessary to put a space character prior to the reference page code and number, although I would highly recommend that you do so as it helps in the reading of the file.
