Catherine,

Believe it or not, the process is quite simple. You rename umbrella.fun to umbrella.brf. To do this, find the file, either with Windows Explorer or My Computer, depending on which one you prefer to use. Once the file name is highlighted, press F2. Then type whatever you want for the name and extension, and press Enter. That's it; you're done! DBTW will recognize the file.

Subject: [duxuser] A Question About .brf files

If a file has been created in a .brf format but the file has been given an alternative file extension to distinguish it from some other files, e.g. umbrella.fun instead of umbrella.brf, what steps have to be taken to get Duxbury to recognize the file enough so that it can be embossed?

Not being a Windows user I need to explain how this is done and I haven't a clue. Under DPS the batch file brfout or the DOS print command is enough to accomplish this without trouble. No wonder I never switched. Thanks for your help.
Catherine
