Hi Nadine, I am using the Braille Lite 40 notetaker/braille display. It is portable, have cursor routing buttons for quick editing and works very well with JAWS. I haven't tried it with Windows XP which I have purchased a couple of weeks ago. At work I use the Alva abt340 (series 3) with 40 cells expandable to 80 cells. Works well with JAWS. I like this braille display because your computer keyboard is placed on top of the braille display. On a smaller braille display you have to place the unit to the right or left of the keyboard or put the braille display in front of the keyboard which can be a little cumbersome for ergonomic reasons. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nadine" <blindwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, April 12, 2004 1:46 AM Subject: [duxuser] Braille displays Hi All, I'm doing a little research for a work project an wonder if you could take minute or two just to drop me a note and tell me what Braille displays you're all using, particularly those of you using JAWS. Some comments on why you've chosen a particular display would also be helpful. Thanks in advance, Nadine. * * * * This message is via list duxuser at freelists.org. * To unsubscribe, send a blank message with * unsubscribe * as the subject to <duxuser-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>.
