I am assuming that the Greek letter sigma is capitalized -- as far as I know, it is when used for summation. No spaces or letter indicator.
Greek indicator is 46 here (USA); is it different in other countries?
If you have lots of this type of work, may I recommend Scientific Notebook, by MacKichan Software, in which you can enter math expressions (along with all the text ), then open the file in DBT and translate with a minimum of editing. As far as how to enter this directly into DBT in print so that it will translate correctly, I'll have to leave that to someone else. (I don't know!) I would either use Scientific Notebook, or enter it in six-key mode.
