I think there may have been a reinterpretation of the Indent code of
WordPerfect between 10.2 and 10.4. In 10.4, if you have some text on a
line, then a WP Indent code, then more text, DBT translates this indent
into something like [imm7][taa7] for an item which is indented to 1.5
additional inches. DBT honors the [taa7] absolute Tab code and this has
the effect of overwriting some characters from the word(s) preceding the
indent.
In WP, you could replace those problematic indents with tabs. This may be
easier than replacing the [inmx][taax] codes where x varies depending on
where you are in the document.
This is one of the reasons I often use WP's Paste Special command to create
a new file in a simpler format than that of the received WP or Word
file. This is also why I tend to use the Word import feature more and
more, if DBT understands the Word document properly. I hope DBT will start
supporting footnotes in Word files; it does support them in importing from
WP, but then you must deal with the indent problems I described above.

I just upgraded from 10.2 to 10.4. Now I find that when I open either a WordPerfect or Word file that has 2 tabbed lists, the first list is cut partially cut off leaving only about 5 letter spaces of the original first list. Also, when I translate into Braille, there is a large space between the first list and the second list which then, of course, runs into another line. I did not have this problem with 10.2. Any suggestions?
