I had a similar problem. So, I went to the top of the document, pressed
control shift end, pressed alt o, selected regular text, and tabbed to OK and
hit enter.

Hello:
I have a student who uses DBT 10.4. He uses it to Braille everything. He is
having a difficult time taking a Word file (from an email attachment) and
removing the italics and bold. I experimented and was unable to remove these
as well. I opened the file in MS-Word, selected all, turned bold and italics
off, de-selected and re-saved the document. When DBT Braille's it the bold and
italics are still there? Why? How can I get rid of bold and italics? Here,
at my work place the above steps work on the same file. Please help.
