Hi Fina,
You'll be happy to know that USB works for both printers and embossers
in 10.5.
However, I have to say that USB printers have worked with at least DBT
10.4 also. (though not embossers)
So I suspect you have a local problem. Do you know what the error
message was?
As regards by visit, I'm in Northern New Jersey (Westwood) for the
weekend and Monday and Tuesday. I drive up to Boston on Wednesday and
am at Duxbury for Thursday and Friday.

Good Morning George,
Wow! I can't wait for the newest version of Duxbury to come.
We've proposed alot of changes, made a lot of good suggestions, etc. so
i think we'll all be excited to see this new and much needed upgrade.
I have one last request. I noticed that duxbury doesn't seem to
support usb ports. Would it be possible to ask the Duxbury folks to
make sure it does?
My print printer is on a usb port and when I tried to print
something directly from DBT to that printer, i couldn't do it, it kept
giving me n error message. I have two braille embossers on this computer
on ports lpt1 and lpt2 and moved my print printer to a usb port.
You said you were going to be stateside, where all are you
going? I'm sure that many of us here in the states would like to have
the pleasure of meeting you in person, giving you a hug and thanking you
personally for all your wonderful work and much appreciated help on the
Duxbury Users List. And who knows, maybe you'd even get treated to a
nice jucy Texas steak!
