Does the Exercise style that you have modified from the List style have [kps] 
in the begin codes and [kpe] in the end codes? These codes are used to keep the 
list or exercise material together on one page when possible. If present in the 
style and your exercise material is too long to fit on the page which already 
has three lines of heading, the whole thing may be carried over to the next 
page. As with other codes, [kps] and [kpe] can be added or deleted from styles, 
or used as stand-alone codes as needed.

  I have a document in which I have used the heading 1 style.  I've not noticed 
this before, but the three lines of the heading print at the top of the page 
and then Duxbury goes to a totally new page to begin the new page which is set 
up as an exercise (which I modified from the list style.)  How can I solve this 
problem?
