George, when we first had the problem, my boss went out and got a new cable
and we got a new computer. Things went along well for a while ... and he
said something yesterday about me maybe having to use a source
computer--like having to take files to another computer to emboss and not
using the same computer where there is email and all tht. I'll pass on your
message about the "dirty electrical
supply within your building", and I thank you for your suggestions.

Deb B.

Hi Deb,

Pound to a bad penny (or is that "Dollar to a bad cent) is
you sent it to me, it would work perfectly too.

All my instincts tell me this is a connection or cable
problem locally. At worst, it may be a dirty electrical
supply within your building.

What I would suggest you do is get a brand new connecting
cable, the shorter the better, and try again.

If the fault is still there, would you be able connect it to
a different PC altogether?

George.
