Rick,
the [p] indents the line in the braille document two cells.
The [<] and [l] esentially do the same thing, start a new line.
Is that enough detail?

Please refresh my memory on how these codes differ: "<", "l", and "p" (I
ignored the brackets.) Should one use the return key, control-l or the
control-m when going to a new line? When materials are scanned I have
noticed that sometimes "l" marks a new line while "<" marks a new line at
other times.

Thanks.
