And of course, if you read a large document on the computer itself, the fact
that the document has hyperlinks can make life very much easier for you to
find specific text.  I would definitely agree to keep the original file with
the hyperlinks.

Hi Andre,

Correct.  Word TOCs, especially hyperlinked ones, are often about as much
use to us as a chocolate teaspoon.

However, they do have one major benefit to us all.  Because the Word user
knows how to create a hyperlinked TOC, you will usually find that at the
very least, correct Heading Styles have been used throughout the document.

However, ALWAYS keep an original copy of the Word TOC for checking purposes.
