Karina,
If you are asking if you use the Word braille template if it will
follow the UK rules, no it won't. Right now, the Word braille template
is linked to the English (American Textbook DE) - BANA template.
However, you could create a new DBT template by creating a new file
using the BANA template, change the translation table to the UK rules
of your choice, and then save it as a new template (make sure you
choose BANA for your customized Word style map so it recognizes the
Word braille styles). Not all of the DBT styles will be appropriate for
the UK rules, but certainly some of them would be, especially any of
the numbered styles. You could then go in and delete any of the styles
that you wouldn't need, and modify others to suit your purposes (and
then resave your customized template).

Hi
Karina,
May
I suggest you go back to the word\startup folder and remove any .dot
files beginning with dbt....
This
should leave you with just one DBT menu item, and hopefully get rid on
one problem.
George.
Hi,
I have copied the file from
swift.dot from the Duxbury directory into the Office Startup directory,
and this has put another menu itme in Word, so now I have two menubar
items that read DBT and one that reads Duxbury!! However, when I
select "Emboss Direct", an error message appears saying that it can't
find duxbury.ini. What should I do from here?
One other query relating to
importing from Duxbury, does the Braille follow the template that is
selected every time you open duxbury as in if I sent a document to
Braille from Word, would it emboss following the UK Literary no
capitals template as this is the default template?
Thank you for your help.
Karina
