There are two separate embossers under discussion: the VersaPoint and the VersaPoint Duo. Both of these units are supported by both MegaDots and Duxbury DBT. The support of embossers by the different software packages is not the issue of today's duxuser discussion. Rather the issue is what embosser is reliable. I do believe that the VersaPoint Duo was being questioned, not the single sided VersaPoint.

I myself have no information which would lead me to believe that any brailler is especially good or bad.

I have heard lots of horror stories of persons being very dependant on one embosser, and then having that unit require either one lengthy repair, or a whole series of repairs.

This leads me to believe that owning at least one extra embosser as a back-up is a wise plan, if you can get the budget for it.

Just my two cents.

Just received my new Duxbury program. In the past was using MegaDots with a VersaPoint (BP1D) embosser. After reading several e-mails, I'm concerned. My question is, will my VersaPoint work with the Duxbury program? Thanks!
