[duxuser] Versapoind duo with duxbury

This may be a little off topic but I don't know where to go.
I am trying to help a local organization get their Versapoint duo embosser to
work with duxbury. I don't think that Duxbury is the problem. Everytime you
start a multi page embossing after the first couple of pages you get a out of
paper error when in fact there is plenty of paper. The paper is correctly in
the embosser. Freedom Sciencitific wants over $700 to look at the embosser
which they think is a simple matter of adjusting the out of paper sensor. Has
anyone ever tried such a repair on their own or know some where else to get the
embosser worked on?
Any help would be appreciated.
