Um, this gives me a sinking feeling. I'm in the U.S., version 10.5 of DBT, and I'm not sure about the display. We bought it from Minnesota, but it was shipped directly here from Germany. In order to get the computer to recognize that it was even hooked up, my husband had to reset the BAUD rate & such on the port settings to be more European ones. (It's hooked up to com port 5 as a USB emulator) Right now the "braille code for display" in DBT is set to North American English. I just tried setting it to German, but that didn't help either. Would anything else, do you think? Was the braille display purchased in your country? And what version of DBT WIN are you using? I am asking because if you were in Norway for instance you would need to change the "braille code for display" setting in DBT Win, under GLOBAL>INTERNATIONALIZATION settings. Neal
