You should never use programs such as word processors, including
WordPerfect, Word and DBT, to edit the "DBT.INI" file.

Instead, you should use a text editor such as NotePad or some other
text editor.

Another reason why you should not use DBT to edit the DBT.INI file is,
because DBT is using it, and, therefore, trying to make changes to it
while it is in use by the program can have very dramatic and
disastrous consequences, not only while you continue to use the
program after you have made any changes and saved the file, but for
trying to use the program in the future.
