Ralph, You didn't say if you are using the BANA template or not. The styles Jean mentioned are only in the BANA templates. The other format for outlines which is usually reserved for outline passages within a body of text has the main entry starting in cell 1 with runnovers in cell 5. Subentries are 3/7, sub-sub entries 5/9, etc. Personally, I prefer this format and also dislike the 3/1, 5/1, 7/1 approach. I find it very difficult to read outlines that have lines rapping back to the beginning. I understand it saves paper but at the cost of readability (at least for me). _____ From: duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jean Menzies Sent: Friday, May 02, 2008 12:53 PM To: DBT list Subject: [duxuser] outline formatting When preparing an outline where the entire text is in an outline format, BANA rules say to put main entries in cell 3 with runnovers in cell 1. Subentries in cell 5 with runnovers in cell 1, sub-subentries in 7-1, etc. The DBT English Textbook de Bana and Word templates do not have numbered styles for 5-1, 7-1, etc. I can obviously use spaces or something, but might these styles be added in an upcoming DBT release?
