Warren had some very good suggestions.  Here's another idea.  I encountered the 
same thing when I did a little alphabet card for my niece.

First, the semicolon is actually dots 5-6 and is a letter sign.  To get rid of 
that, put the translation code for computer braille at the beginning of the 
file.  

I haven't tried the hard space thing, but that might work.  I would simply add 
the spaces back into the braille file if it's a simple document.  Warren's 
suggestion is likely more correct if it works, though.
