We have recently developed problems embossing interpoint files from
Duxbury. They emboss properly when using the copy command from the dos
command line, but the even sides indent an extra four cells on every line
when we emboss from Duxbury. When we first started using this
computer/software combination there were no problems.

The computer is a Dell with Windows 2000. We are using Duxbury 10.4,
with a build date of May 31, 2002. Our IT people have completely removed and
reinstalled Duxbury and the problem persists.

Following are the settings within Duxbury:
Maximum number of cells -- 44
Maximum number of lines -- 27
Desired number of cells -- 40
Desired number of lines -- 25
Top margin -- 0
Binding margin -- 0
Treat as interpoint
Use com2 [the proper serial cable is in place]

The embosser is a Braille Expresss 150. Margins are set as recommended
in their manual for interpoint embossing:
Left margin -- 2
Right margin -- 41

As I mentioned above, when using the copy command, the even sides start
brailling in the correct cell. The problem only occurs when embossing from
within Duxbury. I have tried new and old files and have the same problem. I
have checked for codes and there are no unusual codes, either at the
beginning of the document or at the beginning of page 2.

Where do you suggest I look next?
