Wow!! Just shows I got a lot more to learn. <g< Sounds like something interesting to add to Swift or Duxbury later. I harvest the data by running the Word calendar wizard. It produces twenty-four text boxes--one for each month's name and another for each month's data. I copy the month's data into one long table and type in the month's name at the appropriate spot. I then kill any fancy formatting Word had applied and come out with a table that includes the data I need. I then bring in that data into MegaDots and it handles it quite well. The only tweaking I need to do is to make sure the formatting is OK. I do have to run one find and replace that looks for a single digit surrounded by white space and adds a space so that my numbers line up. I suppose you could do a little more on the Word side that would allow DBT to get similar results. With Word use of wildcards it is possible to get similar results achieved by the MegaDots find/replace. I just tried it out and it does work. A calendar is a perfect example of a repetitive routine task that can be automated so that one does not have to recreate the job every time. I wonder if such a utility would be a good one to add to Swift or DBT itself. You could tell Swift what your time span would be and SWIFT would use the Word calendar wizard to extract the data, incorporate the necessary changes and automatically send correctly formatted data to DBT. It's a thought. Do you folks feel that a calendar making utility would be useful in either Swift or DBT? (Smile for me, George.) Any hints on how to prepare this in word 2003 for Duxbury, or how to import and format a standard table from word to do this? yes grid lines would be nice, but I will settle for just the numbers and day headings at the top of each page for now.
