How do you do it with DBT? My curiosity is aroused.

Hi Fina,

You can't do this in DBT, but it's possible another way.

Go in to My Computer, and locate the file/folder.

Highlight the file you want to write protect. Right click,
and select Properties. Tab down to the "Read Only" check
box, and check it. Click on O.K.

George.

Subject: [duxuser] read only files

Hello Listers,

I was wondering if anybody could tell me if it's possible,
in duxbury, to save files in "read only" format so that
nobody can go in and edit or alter the files in any way.

I know how to do this in word but wasn't sure whether it
would carry over to Duxbury once taken in to be translated
into braille. I have some books i need to save as read only
text files and don't them to be edited or altered in any
way.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
