Hello George and Hope:

I haven't tried this with BMP or other graphic file formats, but if you have Kurzweil software try printing to the KESI virtual printer. This virtual printer is used by K1000 and K3000 to convert PDF files. I have used this trick to get the text out of PowerPoint slides.

Regards,

Robert Jaquiss

Hi Hope,

I'm afraid there is no easy way to convert such files. They
are essentially graphic format, even though there may be
text in them.

The best you are likely to achieve, is to print them, and
then scan using an OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
software package, such as Omnipage, Text Bridge, or similar.

George.

I am trying to convert tif, jpg, or bmp files to Duxbury
files. I tried to convert them to rtf or PDF nothing worked.
These are picture files with text. I want to convert them so
the text can be read in Braille.

I am visually impaired and am not even able to read the
files on the disc.
The files come up blank in Duxbury. I need these because I
print the bulletins in print and Braille for church.

I would be grateful for your assistance.
P.S. I also tried to convert them to dos.
