I never knew what that key is called but let me retry:

Open Properties:

Navigate to your desktop using Win + D.
Locate the shortcut you just created, and press Alt + Enter to open its Properties.

Assign a Shortcut Key:

In the Properties window, go to the "Shortcut" tab.
In the "Shortcut key" field, press the key you want to use as a shortcut. Windows will automatically add Ctrl + Alt + to the key you press.
For example, if you press 'A', it will become Ctrl + Alt + A.

Hi Tom,

I'm not sure what people call this feature. It is usually the right

click on the mou se to bring up a menu but I know the mouse is useless in

this case. So, this can be reproduced once you select the icon by

pressing the button on the left side of the right control key. That

control key is the last on the bottom row in the main cluster of keys

(where letters are). It differs if you are using a laptop, but it should

be just before hitting the arrow keys.

I hope that makes sense.

Hi Adrian

Thanks for that reply.  What do you do to open the context menu?

Hi Dominique,

open the context menu of the shortcut that's on your desktop and go to

Properties. There is a tab called "Shortcut", where you can assign one

to start JAWS.

Let me know if you don't have a shortcut created yet.
