 Could you post a relevant syslog with the diff applied and images of the
 Media preferences input and output panels?

 These set_mix calls are done by the media server when trying to apply the
 saved configuration for the multiaudio node. I'm unsure it's correct when
 changing the driver code and the exposed widgets. You would need to delete
 the multi_audio configuration in this case to be sure.

 The important part in the code is the parser which traverses the widget
 tree; in the syslog around the lines "build output tree" and "build input
 tree". In my opinion the node 23 shouldn't appear any more on the input
 path, so no widget for it in the Input panel, so no saved configuration
 applied on start up.
