Arpad,

Given an interconnect subckt (a package model for example), how would the
model maker know what the initial condition is? This is not meant to be a
flippant answer, you do raise an interesting problem, particularly for
series blocking caps, and simulators that relay on starting off with a DC
solution.

Subject: [ibis-macro] A question about IBIS-ISS

Hello Everyone,

I just noticed that the IBIS-ISS specification does not define/support the
initial conditions for capacitors and inductors. Does anyone remember why
these were omitted? It seems that these would be rather useful and
important features to have...

Thanks,

Arpad
