This may cause difficulties, but I do need to remind participants that
vendor tool feature-set discussions should be conducted outside mailing
lists like these. Being associated with a standards body, we need to be
as vendor-neutral as possible.
I realize that part of our discussions revolve around getting a sense of
the industry and its needs. I would welcome any suggestions on how to
discuss "what industry is doing" without citing specific tool, device or
system vendors.

I don't think I am "authorized" to discuss their pricing,
but there is an evaluation version on their web site
that is FREE. Fully functional, only limited in the
size of the models and/or circuits.

As I was reading the minutes of the last IBIS-ATM teleconference, I
noticed this line:
"Todd: Cadence prefers Verilog, Mentor prefers VHDL, others can't do
both at
all."
I need to disagree, Todd. The tool from Dolphin, SMASH can cosimulate
VHDL-AMS, Verilog-AMS and SPICE (plus their own language called ABCD, I
believe), they can even be mixed within the same file...
