Hmmm, Mike

 

I'm making ECL input and output driver models for new silicon almost every
month.  There are lots of new part designs that offer ECL interfaces.  ON
Semi, SiLabs and others are releasing parts with ECL inputs and outputs.

Ummm... How much ECL is being designed into current products? There was a
time when I did a lot of design in ECL; but the last time I saw it used in a
product was in AT&T's FT-Series G 417Mb/s fiber optic transmission system in
1983.
