FINALLY – I can see how this would be difficult to implement across thousands
of homes but glad to see this finally coming to TN! I remember when I think 5
years ago Don Francis out of ATL was telling me about the $0.05/kWh rate
overnight was sweet for setting up his charging of his Nissan Leaf. I wish I
lived in Knoxville…

I think this is a big leap for TN and for incentivizing EV drivers!! (but we
need to know the new kWh on- and off-peak amounts… please share when you get
that information!!

I just got a mailer and signed up for a KUB time of use pilot program.

Would make charging your car even cheaper if you get electricity from KUB.
They’ll even send a report to tell you if based on your prior usage your bill
would be higher or lower (but if higher, keep in mind that part of this is
changing behaviors, so if you can change behaviors you may see a significant
decrease even if they don’t say you will).

TOU winter peak 5-10AM, summer peak 2-8PM.
